Prompt #326
I've lived in this place and I know all the faces
Each one is different but they're always the same
They mean me no harm but it's time that I face it
They'll never allow me to change.

Thank you, lovely LJ friends! I am enjoying my cookies and cocoa. ^_^
A little something my hubby sent me this morning. Since I am currently in TNG s2 of my 'Rewatching All of Star Trek' marathon, I found this especially funny. *g*

Christmas meme, because it's been a while since I posted. (I've been busy crafting my little fingers off for presents!)
Some of these are weirdly apt!

Although don't think I haven't considered it. (My Jack/House fic is still one of my favorite things I've ever written.)
I was walking to work this AM, listening to my Ipod and I happen to have a lot of radio interviews with both of these gentleman. One of each came up during the walk.
The contrast is so striking.
Barrowman, the extrovert, who you imagine practically bouncing off the walls of the studio or whatever room he's in while doing the interview. Also, the man who while extremely grateful and humble regarding his fans has no lack of self-confidence regarding his own talent whatsoever. I love it and generally agree with him, but it is possible to see how it can be interpreted as arrogance. Every so often, one would like him to take a slight chill-pill.
Hugh Laurie, by contrast is endlessly self-deprecating, low-keyed, and always slightly embarrassed to be doing the interview at all, even though he's always gracious. He genuinely seems to wonder why anyone would want to talk to him in the first place. He gives more credit to the writers than to himself, and one gets the feeling he'd rather be doing anything else but doing the interview. The more praise he gets, the more miserable he sounds. You just want to hug him and drag him out of there for a (ahem) spot of tea.
I love them both. Find them eminently shaggable, love the characters they've created, and really would love to see them together, maybe presenting at the BAFTAS or something.
I just found it amusing how different my two major crushes are in their public personas, which I do realize are not necessarily what they're "really" like in private.
Seriously...the RPS ideas...(Go away, plot bunnies.)
